Footloose A Huge Success

Footloose - Freyberg's 2011 senior production proved to be a huge success this year, with four nights selling out. Crowd favourites Sam Seumanu and Alexia Clark (pictured), along with a host of other multi talented singers, dancers and actors, including Julie McEwen as Ariel (also pictured) demonstrated their singing, dancing and acting talent as they amazed audiences with outstanding performances, showcasing the huge variety of talent that exists at Freyberg High School.

The crowds were cheering as the cast danced and sang their way across the stage. The props and stage sets were brilliant and the band were outstanding in their performace. The savvy technical crew worked well together doing the sound and lighting, and there was even a group of students doing videography.

The show was directed by Tamzin Darragh, who was utterly delighted to see the show performed to such a high standard after having to pull out of directing it in another school back in 2005.

After hundreds of hours of gruelling rehearsals and performances, the cast and crew of Footloose can be extremely proud of their success and can now have their weekends back to themselves.
