40 Hour Faminers Celebrate 'Last Supper'

Over 50 Freyberg students got together last weekend, to mark their "last supper" before the World Vision 40 Hour Famine with games, a band, a speaker and a of course a feast.

Supporting the World Vision Yellow Team, and well dressed in yellow, the event was organised by student leaders Matt McEwen and Evie Turner. They somehow managed to convince Michelle White from World Vision to come at her busiest time of year, as well as Freyberg's best Smokefree Rockquest band. Around a dozen teachers completed the group as they ate and considered where the money was headed to for this year's famine.

Student organiser, Evie Turner said the event had a 'great atmosphere', and wanted to thank Just Juice for their sponsorship.
