2009 Freyberg Cross Country

The annual Freyberg Cross Country was held on Tuesday this week with a record of 1400 students and another record of 20 teachers competing in the race.

Most students took the race seriously, but a few dressed up for the 4km run, wearing costumes such as a giant iPod, and a gorilla, but most just came dressed in their house colours.

Mr Brooks, Freyberg Principal lead by example, competing with the senior boys to finish 21st. He was most impressed with regional champion, Strahan Moynihan who won the race in just over 11 minutes. Paige Lowe came first in the senior girls race beating Mrs Green who managed 5th place.
