"Daughters of Heaven" Senior Production

This year the senior production was an enactment of the infamous New Zealand Parker-Hulme murder of 1954 called "Daughters of Heaven".

Popularised by the movie "Heavenly Creatures", students worked hard to reproduce both an accurate historical account of events as well as an entertaining evening. Hundreds filled the newly refurbished Russell Trethewey Auditorium to see the new staging, lighting and sound systems for three nights of performance.

Year 13 students Tessa Richards and Stephanie Velvin (pictured) played the lead roles of Pauline Parker and Juliet Hulme. Both students have trained at Centrepoint Theatre's basement company and between them have accumulated a wide variety of performing experience.
